Question by F-ROD: What is a good way to “follow the market” – from perspective of CEO at hedge fund co.?
Basically I want to work for a Hedge Fund. I’m really big into economics and I know a lot of key terms and principles but I’m still a novice admittedly. I read things like the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal, but I was told from this boss at a hedge fund company to “follow the market.”
How would I go about doing this? look at dow charts? What do you think?

look at what is happening to the market, and will happen as a result, makign assumptions. so look at interest rates, gdp, inflation, demand and supply, and what not.
