Why Autoresponders are the Online Marketers Dream Come True.

Autoresponders are very powerful. They can be as simple as sending a ‘thank you’ when someone subscribes to your newsletter or automatically sending an eBook when someone processes their credit card payment TO very complex sequential auto responders based on several custom fields and subscriber actions. They are very, very powerful!

So how do they work? First you assign them to a specfic mailing list. Then, you decide if you want to send it to everyone that joins that mailing list or just specific people. If you choose just specific people then you can really start to drill down. Your first choices are: selecting subscribers that either DID or DID NOT click on a link in any newsletter or email campaign that was EVER sent to this mailing list; secondly by selecting subscribers that OPENED or DID NOT open a particular newsletter or email campaign.

Then, the fun really starts. You can further select subscribers based on ANY of your custom fields. ANY!

The timing of when the autoresponder is sent is always based on when someone subscribed. From there you can schedule it to be sent immediately or up to three years later. You can also choose to go ahead and send to all your current subscribers that have already meet the criteria but the specified time has passed.

You use the same editor used in designing email newsletters and bulk email campaigns and have the same options including attachments, custom fields, spam keyword checking, etc. Once your document is saved, you just need to mark it as active and it’s off to the races. It will run forever unless you tell it to stop.

If you’re creating multiple auto responders for the same mailing list but using different criteria, you can simply copy and edit to save you time.
